Overview

All our products are built around hardened electronic platforms with a proven track record in the harsh envionrment found at the roadside. Although they are presented in product 'families' they can be mixed and matched to suit almost any combination of requirements. Please ask us for further information.

Scalable

iMesh is a highly scaleable mesh wireless platform that does not need a central controller or a hierarchy spread over multiple layers. This means there is no practical limit to the number of nodes that can be connected.

iCell routers provide carrier-grade cellular backhaul either as a standalone unit or in remote, isolated locations

Reliable

We take pride in making high reliability products. Everything is extensively tested prior to shipping and we encourage our installation partners to share commissioning results with us. We record and monitor all support requests and use them to identify and resolve technical issues with our products as a result we believe our fault record to be amongst the lowest in the sector.

Fit-for-purpose

All of our products have been designed for use in the harsh conditions of the roadside. With one exception, all of our products operate over temperatures ranging from -30°C to +70°C.

We know, from our close relationship with our installation partners, that access for maintenance can be difficult so we try to design products which take that into consideration.

UK support

All of our products are designed, built and supported from our worldwide headquarters in Gateshead, UK. We work hard to provide a high quality product and service offering at all stages of a product's lifetime. We maintain high levels of traceability and proactively intervene if we identify something we aren't happy with.

iMesh

External-grade iMesh router

iMesh is a multipoint-multipoint wireless technology enabling resilient networks to be deployed rapidly in harsh environements such as the roadside. iMesh is fully open-standard and is frequently used in conjunction with other technologies such as private fibre backhaul, xDSL or cellular.

iMesh routers provide revenue-free, wireless communications links for traffic signal controllers, variable message signs and car park counters. iMesh supports open standards and can be used in conjunction with other technologies such as fibre, cellular or xDSL backhaul.

meshI/O

meshI/O unit

meshI/O enables the transmission of volt-free contacts over an iMesh wireless link.

meshI/O is typically used to transmit the outputs of vehicle detectors (such as inductive loops or Traficam) to a nearby traffic signal controller or VMS. Other uses of meshI/O include linking two MOVA signal controllers to enable the exchange of sync and inhibit bits

iCell+

cabinet-grade iMesh router

iCell+ is a 4G/LTE cellular router 4G with 3G/2G fallback.   Offering speeds up to 100Mbps (dependent on network/SIM) it delivers high speed wireless connectivity between the roadside and a central management system. iCell+ can also have integral iMesh and iJTM support.

iCell+ routers provide cellular connectivity for local IP assets, such as variable message signs, and cellular backhaul for on-street iMesh networks as an alternative to ADSL. With the addition of integral iJTM they can serve journey time data from remote, rural locations.

iJTM - Journey Time Monitoring

Journey Time Monitoring

IDT's iJTM serves Journey Time to a UTMC-compliant central management system while simultaneously supporting UTC/ITS.

Road network managers need to know, rapidly, when and where journey times have lengthened. iJTM uses data from smartphones to enable highly accurate journey times to be derived by an authority's central management system (CMS). iJTM is stndards-compliant and has been deployed with CMSs from the UK's leading suppliers.

Vehicle counting

Journey Time Monitoring

Combine with inductive loops or other detectors to create a UTMC-compliant counting solution for car parks or on the highway

IDT's vehicle counter is UTMC-compliant and has been deployed in over 100 car parks working with central management systems from the all of the UK's leading suppliers. It's ethernet port means it can use any available IP communications link such as a corporate LAN, a nearby iMesh link or an iCell+ router.
